The ENSTA Paris Multimedia Documentation Centre

Documentation is an integral part of the pedagogical process at ENSTA Paris. The ENSTA Paris Multimedia Documentation Centre consists of:

- A library offering access to:

  • a full range of external electronic reviews (reserved access)
  • the catalogue of works
  • a directory of collections of reviews in the possession of the school

- An audiovisual studio (three satellite dishes)

- A foreign languages laboratory (three video terminals)

Opening hours

  • September to June : Monday to Friday from 8.45 am to 9.30 pm
  • June to September and holidays : Monday to Thursday from 8.45 am to 5.30 pm and Friday from 8.45 am to 4.00 pm.

Presentation of the documentation base

ENSTA Paris library offers more than 15,000 works linked to engineering sciences and management sciences:

It also has a more general documentation collection offering 2000 works of classical and modern literature, art, philosophy, tourist and geopolitical guides.

It also contains nearly 500 theses and research reports published by the ENSTA's five laboratories, and 2000 end projects (PFE).

Foreign languages are also covered, with 400 works in 8 languages. The cultural and linguistic subjects also use the audiovisual studio: several hundred channels are received and video cassettes may be viewed on a self-service basis on three video terminals (more than 400 films and 150 documentaries in nine languages).

Finally, the school has taken out subscriptions to more than 200 periodicals on paper, plus 1400 in electronic format.
